Before listing our IGF members, we are posting a notification of a suggestion that all members should receive engraved sterling silver rings with IGF engraved upon them on the outside and the date and the members name on the inside of the band. Because of both its value and stature, engraved sterling silver rings were gorgeous and chosen as a symbol of excellence. First it is timeless and there are numerous exquisite ring designs. Secondly, Sterling silver, rather than 100% silver was selected since the .925 silver plus the other metals, usually copper, found in a sterling silver makes the metal sturdier and durable. Thirdly, sterling silver rings are suitable for any occasion.
Post note: It was pointed out that some members might not want a ring, so the committee decided to commission designs for a sterling silver pin, and a money clip. We will keep you posted as to when these tokens of membership are available.
